Who doesn’t want a bargain these days?
Without compromising on quality, and with a little looking online, you can save a bunch of bucks and get the best value for your home office or business.
When looking for cheaper printing supplies consider the remanufactured laser toner cartridges and inkjet cartridges that are generics or have also been remanufactured (i.e. refilled). Check out the compatibility listings to make sure they will fit into your machine. They usually list toner or cartridge numbers on sides of the boxes, that they are compatible with. Super Warehouse has a huge listing of items to save you money in this area.
Often, you can get supersized inkjet cartridges that offer more value when time comes to refill. The cartridges will usually list (or at least online) the number of average pages that they will print. Look at all the listings online at Super Warehouse. Also, with either laser or inkjet printers, you get more prints from your cartridges if you have your machine set on draft mode. This produces thinner, lighter prints - but unless you are printing up your final draft copy, it can save you a ton on ink and toner using this feature. Check out the program and settings that come with your printer and that you may have used when you hooked the machine up to your computer.
Besides getting your supplies shelf stocked for your printer, is it time to replace that ugly and lumpy old-fashioned computer monitor? If you are getting older, like myself, the bright new LCD monitors, sleek and usually black or black and silver, with their landscape viewpoint, are a distinct advantage.
Look at some cheap lcd monitors online at Super Warehouse. I find that a 24” model works and looks great. A smaller one would suite the kids, or could be placed on a kitchen desk. Most monitors these days are just plug and play so you are ready to go as soon as you get home. Do check out the box and facts beforehand, shop around at the Super Warehouse site, and you will be up to date in no time. The brightness and beautiful photos you can display on your screen as wallpaper may surprise you, and will instantly give you a fresher outlook as you work at your computer.
Most modern computers take and display the width vs height ratio of the landscape monitors perfectly well, and they often “prefer” to do so. Long gone are the days where you are stuck with a center portion only of display area.
Be sure and check locally regarding recycling your old monitor. Sometimes, also, a local thrift store would welcome the working monitor and, that way, you are helping someone else. Recycling centers in your town, or local municipalities, often have “E Waste Day” so keep on checking your local paper as well.
